what happened ?

the electricity has gone out. as in all over town. it is pitch black. shortly afterwards I heard several different sounding sirens. the one emergency flashlight I could locate is not working. I cannot even see the boy with seizures to see if he is having one or not. I can smell he had a bowel movement, but I have no light to change him by, and that certainly does not seem like a job you should feel your way through. I can hear he is awake though, but I don't want to interact with him and have him get up when I can't see a thing, nor would he be able to.
why does this stuff only happen to me? seriously.
