...to the question I put to ya'll was such that I was a little ashamed of it but after reading everyone's input, I have absolutely no misgivings now....for various reasons.
I would push the button and the fat man. This is of course provided I don't panic or waste too much time thinking. But no matter what, my knee-jerk reaction would be to kill the few to save the many.
Thinking about this, I find it odd. I don't see myself as valuing human life more than any other nor do I feel like I'm particularly conscientious about others, though I have learned that I tend to be more so than some.
Regardless, I've made my choice.
