This is a comment fic meme for talking. Two characters (or three, or four, whatever!) talking about what they want and figuring how to make everyone happy. The conversation can be as simple as "Do you want to have sex?" "Yes!" but the fics should all involve explicit consent to whatever is happening

Like most things in Sam’s life, though, this doesn’t go as he’d planned. Dean doesn’t bother with a pasted on a fake look of surprise, he doesn’t shove Sam’s hand away, and he doesn’t even laugh. He just reaches up to cup Sam’s chin with his own hand, their positions mirrored. Dean’s eyes are the most unguarded Sam has seen them since they were kids, all the love and fear and want they’ve both been hiding, finally, for the first time, exposed

That fact alone will never fail to turn me into a stereotypical girl, all emotional mess and wanting to hug the sorrow out of him.

But you've written this so beautifully. You've captured a shy, yet determined Sam and a confident Dean who is giving to Sam as much as he is taking for himself. <3

HEY WAIT A MINUTE. There's a difference between 'explicit consent', which I'm good with, and 'explicit verbal consent', which excludes scenarios where one character's gagged, or one character's deaf, or what have you. And now I really wanna prompt 'Supernatural, Sam/Dean, gags then experimentation' but I don't know if it'd be allowed because the gagged character wouldn't be able to give explicit verbal consent to the experimentation even though he could still explicitly consent by nodding or what have you.

Mostly, my focus with this meme was to (ideally) include not only the act, but also some of the discussion leading to the act. Which was why I included the "verbal" qualifier. In the situation you describe, though, the filler could a) include some pre-gag conversation to indicate that the gagged character is good with this OR b) have the gagged character verbally consent to gags and then explicitly (but not verbally) consent to experimentation, as the verbal consent remains. I have nothing against explicit non-verbal consent, but I am going to keep the verbal qualifier in this particular meme because that was part of my goal in creating it.

(As for the case of deafness, I would not say verbal consent has to be audible, and I would assume the deaf character and his/her partner could still have a conversation discussing their preferences.)
