"Well, it probably will," says Misha. "But different isn't always bad. And, if the two of you actually start dating seriously, he'll find out no matter what. And the longer it goes, the more it becomes something you didn't tell him, not just something he doesn't know."
MISHA STOP GIVING RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME ADVICE. I TAKE TOO MUCH ADVICE FROM FICTIONAL CHARACTERS AS IT IS.
Seriously, though, I think Misha is possibly the crown jewel of this story. He adds the perfect comedic counterweight to Jensen's innate gravity and Jared's troubled past. I like too how there are no real villains in this story other than Jared's struggle to come to terms with his past as it relates to his future. Each character's situation feels very real, especially the minor characters of whose lives we only catch brief glimpses.
Oh, and this line from Misha: "I generally know what circumstances would lead to me making out with anyone." made me laugh out loud. Awesome work!
I don't know if I'm just being hormonal or what, but this fic is making me cry. And I know I'm being ridiculous since it's snarky and schmoopy and all your characters are great.
I just get so sad when I think of a poor 17 year old boy being summarily thrown out of his house by people he thought loved him! I can't even imagine his sense of betrayal. And then he had to fend for himself. Dammit, look at me I'm bawling again. Why is this upsetting me so much?!
(I secretly hope that his parents felt terrible about what happened and has been looking for him for two years...)

Also, loving the dialogue between Misha and Jared. It's just the right mix of caring and sarcasm.
