(no subject)
Yesterday I reread approximately half of Much Ado About Nothing on the plane home from Chicago. The Arden notes proved informative in that they pointed out to me something extremely obvious I had never noted before:
Beatrice (from Latin, Beatrix) = She Who Blesses
Benedick (from Latin, Benedictus) = He Who Is Blessed
Like, duh! But, like, OMG!!! If that doesn't just make you want to vomit out of happiness, you have no soul.
Accordingly, in celebration of this obvious but nonetheless amazing discovery (and since my computer's name is Dante so my old iPod was named Beatrice) I thought it only fitting to name my new iPod Benedick.
