Fall of the Father

Apr 02, 2005 15:13

Ladies and Gentlemen for those of you that have not heard yet, it is my sad duty to report that Pope John Paul II has died. At 9:56 pm Vatican Time on April 2nd, 2005.

I feel it my duty as a christian and a believer that all life is precious to say a few words.

Though I am not catholic I believed very much in the life that He lead. He was a great man always helping people and guiding people. Some of the speaches that he gave touched me dearly and I am sure the whole world feels that aching in their heart right now at the death of such a great man.

His courage and conviction in his beliefs, even if they were not your own, could drive your heart to push forward and make you feel better. He was always helping others. I believe that his feelings for people and his desire to help others should live in the hearts of all people.

I myself am on the verge of tears with his passing, even not being Catholic. I'm sorry if this passage offends anyone but I felt I really needed to say something.
