My goodness!
My guinness! How the devil are you lot! I have been a bad person and defected to myspace for a bit. But I am back now. I am a little scared of it to be honest. I keep getting naked bands and clothes shops signing up. Nackers to em, I am now here and everything is good. Right, where do I begin? Oh Mr A moved in in February and the flet is now all nice and clean and pretty. lots of new furniture, although looks like a section of Ikea. Er Mr A also has a new job with the Environment Agency, so no longer going out with cool record shop man, now with a civil servant. Been home to Devon to see the folks and they are fine. Ma and Pa have been married for 25 years this year! Hurrah to them! I have taken up beading again and trying to persuade unsuccessfully Mr A into going to salsa. The psych hospital I work in in still a little scary but the staff are lovely. Had me birthday and got a bit drunk. Discovered Gin and Tonic which is the best drink in the world ever! Our local pub has had a makeover and is now almost posh wine bar. Luckily it has not scared off the locals. Friends of ours who met the week after myself and Mr A are getting married in a couple of months and I have been asked to make some jewellery for her! My first commission!
Anyway to the music! Saw the Mystery Jets and Spinto Band in Brighton which was really really really good! Erm, The Rakes in London. Good gig from them supported by the Young Knives and some other band. Also saw the Fratellis supported by Figure 5. The Fratellis were a little worse for drugs, but Figure 5 kicked hairy butt. www.figure5.co.uk go see! Also went to a DJ night in Reading with DJ Format. He rocks man! I could not stop dancing for 4 hours (helped along by a red bull or five)
I am presently being forced to watch the football and have to say the England games are not bring the pants off me. I came home on Thursday to My A on his second beer and the entire front room covered in England flags. Mildly creepy.
I have found some top recipes as well. I am becoming a bit of a foodie and although avoiding the complicated stuff cos I am stupid, I have got some top fud! Pork with spinach and lemon is a good one, and chinese marinated sea bass is a bit tasty too! Have now been known to make my own pate's and salsas and allsorts! Attempt to convert Mr A to vegetarianism are failing dismally.
I have got a new car - Volkswagen Polo - Bright Red. She is so good. Never let me buy anything that is not a Polo in future!
Watching Lost at the mo as well, now My Name is Earl has stopped. Also quite like that New Tricks programme - I want to be like them when I am older!
Oh and for all you hayfever sufferers, get some Flixotide nasal spray, Otrivine Antihistin eye drops and Loratidine tablets. My guinea pig is now clear of symptoms!
