A jobby job
I just applied for a job at Cox here in Macon. It could be a way back to NOLA. *fingers crossed* I'm going to a couple of bike shops and put in apps for some work. I may be here longer than I want to be. I'm going to apply to volunteer for the Red Cross, MSF (doctors w/o borders), and FEMA. I just need something to fill the time to keep the blue meanies away. Went and bought some clothes yesterday, nothing nice yet. Basic necessities are all I have. The news isn't as bad as I had feared and there is still a little hope for my house. My next-door neighbor stayed and though I wish he were safer, it is comforting to know there is someone watching out for the block. I am unusally calm as I absorb the reality we are all facing. Being so far from friends is very hard and I look forward to hearing from all the good people in my world. I can handle losing it all, being left to rebuild, but not the loss of one friend.
