[Cloud's eyes snapped open. He breathed quickly in the darkness, but quietly, his gaze darting around to reassure himself that he was still in his room, not floating alone in a sea. No... no. That couldn't have been his dream. He didn't recognize any of the elements in it... not that that necessarily meant it wasn't his dream.

But that had been Sniper's voice. How... how had he been able to see that? If it had been Sniper's dream...

The Tree, of course. It was messing with them again. Probably... that was the assumption he was going with for now, anyway.

He only recognized two of the people Sniper met in the dream, the silhouette of the skeleton-guy and Chivalry. Prince. Whatever his real name was. His thoughts lingered on the other people there, the person with a straw hat, the green-haired faceless man, the woman with orange hair. She looked... angry, afraid, and determined, all at once.

She looked strong.

The ship they had stood on... it made the first ship that Sniper had tried sailing, only to have it destroyed under him, look like a toy. The proud lion head at the front, like a stylized sun...

He honestly can't tell if the dream is scary (though it's very scary in parts), happy, or sad...

Maybe it's bittersweet, like most things in life.

He rolls over onto his back (when had he ended up on his side?) and tries to make himself comfortable. That dream had been too real for comfort, especially the chill of the water against his legs, and the pain of hitting his hands against the glass.]
