If the elevator took you to a floor it doesn't normally go to... time is distorted there somehow. It can feel like hours or a day, but you'll be gone for days at a time, or weeks, even. It's happened before, but nobody knows why.

I'm not sure- was that ship you drew the place you went?

That long? [There's a minute or two of a pause while he flips through the journal again and he notes that nobody asked after him which is rather worrying. If he was really in trouble, he'd need *somebody*'s help.]

It's pretty great, isn't it? I mean, maybe not the drawing but if you saw the real thing I'm sure you'd agree.
