Halal restaurants?

A friend of mine who observes Muslim dietary practices is visiting soon, and I'd like to find a restaurant that serves halal meat, whether its middle eastern food, American, Mexican, whatever. It would be flipping great if my friend could try some local food that is in line with his dietary restrictions, that isn't typically available in Pakistan.

Edit: I'm looking more for first-hand opinions of halal restaurants.
