Act II: Lucid Afternoon
Okay, it's 5:12 pm. I'm over at John's waiting for him and his little babe to wake up from their afternoon nap. I just plopped down on his couch at about 4, didn't sleep, but rested enough. It's been a long day so far. the kids played over here until I left at about 2:30. Man, that was crazy yet fun. Jonas demanded on wearing his Buzz Lightyear space suit all day but at one point I convinced him to take it of so that Amelia could wear it and he could wear her princess dress. she loved the space suit but he refused to wear the dress. I mean, come on, kid! But I guess that it was better that way. If he were to have worn it he may not have wanted to take it off. Duh!
So, Kevin came by around 10 with donuts and coffee, thanks Kev! I brought over some bread, eggs, and sausage links. John cooked up the breakfast with some bacon and we all eventually ate. That is, while tring to get the kids to calm down, which wasn't too bad. We sat them infront of the tube while the three of us goofed around on the computer, John was getting ready to send Paul a great drawing of Akira Ifukube standing infront of Godzilla while Tokyo was burning in the background, when he was messing with the color I told him to make it a GIF and he did. That was pretty much the morning.
In the afternoon it became apparent that the kids needed to be sepparated in order to take their naps. So, John took me and Jo home and I had him lie down with grandma. He was out with in minutes. During this time I got my gear together in the car and headed over to John's again, hoping to load his truck with the drums, head over to Pedro, and then jet over to Kev's to play, When I arrived, John was talking to Kevin and not too interested in lugging his kit up a long flight of stairs to Kevin's rooftop, which was understandable. We both had a long day. I then mentioned to him that he can just play the ocsillator the whole night, which he seemed very keen on. So, hopfully that got his fire going a bit. He told me that he'll go take a nap with the kid and said I'd crash on the couch until 5:30, then we'd head over to Perdo together with Kevin and see what happens.
I'm not too concerned if i don't play tonight, I just feel like something is going to happen tonight that I want to be apart of. Even if its just sitting in front of the computer or something. i just want to hang out really. It would be great to play but we'll see.
