Well, I’m setting myself a schedule today and for my days off. Considering that I have start making more money, I NEED TO GET ORGANIZED!!!!!
So after I pour my tea I will:
- Take a shower
- Do the dishes
- Straighten up a bit
- Take my laundry to my parents house
- While there clean out my car
- Hopefully when I finish with the car the first load will be done and I can switch it, if not then I’m running over to Tuttle’s Camera to get some film and/ or other materials
- Go to Ikea and buy two curtains and a handful of frames
- Come back to the house, switch another load
- While that load is happening perhaps I’ll go around my parent’s neighborhood and snap some pictures
- After that, we’ll see…
Yeah, I was suppose to hook a friend, um, ex-girlfriend with some photographs just because I’m a nice guy and I’m too cheap to buy her a b-day present. We talked on the phone last night about a few ideas for the shoot and she sounded into it. We small talked, though she was avoiding some question. Not long like, “Who you fuckin’ these days?” kind of questions just normal day to day bullshit questions. I mean, bullshit questions admit bullshit answers, right? Fine cool. But she not just like that with me so I know that she’s the weird one.
To my recollection I think the conversation went something like this;
(Oh, I should mention at this point that she is a solo artist; musician/painter)
“Hey, Marisa! So are you up for tomorrow?”
“Yeah, totally!”
“So, how have you been?”
“Good, good. I’m just trying to get some bands to play with me in Houston.”
“Cool, you’re going out to Houston?”
“Yeah, I’m going on tour in November, just driving around the country with my sister.”
“Right on.”
(Then after about a couple of minutes regarding the shoot)
“What have you been up to, Aaron?”
“Just working. I cut my hours so I can focus on photography and music.”
(I told her that my son got a puppy)
“That’s cool. Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Okay.”
Now don’t quote me on this conversation. It didn’t end that abruptly. But I get an e-mail from her that night canceling the shoot. Which is cool, but I am just wondering if it was something I said. I mean, I was doing it for free so her not wanting to do it saved my some bucks. But she is the kind of woman that wants all attention. No seriously, she is. She told me she was, flat out when we were going out and it’s true!
I am wondering if one of was these or all:
1. That I mentioned that my son’s mom got him a puppy. (The negative being mentioning my son’s mom and/or Jonas)
2. That I was pursuing photography and music, the key suspect word being “music”.
Like I said, she is very self-center in a very pleasant way. Which is all fine and well if you are achieving what she wants; stardom. I think the fact that mention me pursuing music intimidated her. Or at least that’s my own self-center Ego thinking that but if you knew her you may get that idea as well.
I’m still going to her birthday party on the 6th but I don’t think I am going to be doing much communicating with her. I wish her all the luck possible. I really do. And I do believe something will come of her. And I even want the same success but I want to achieve it in a different way. A more open way, a less “avoiding the question” kind of way.
