He almost hadn't even bothered coming back. Not just because he'd spent nearly two hours wrangling with the Portalocity booking agents regarding getting a portal to Fandom in the first place; they'd finally, finally relented when Warren flung an absurd amount of money in their direction. "Leaving? Please tell me you're joking, Bobby?"
Something about the state of the room at the moment pretty much confirmed that Bobby... wasn't joking.
"What's going on?"

Warren winced, stepping into the room and closing the door carefully behind himself.
"They? The ones who had, um..." He waved vaguely in the direction of the screen that they'd watched that bigoted presidential campaign speech on. "Is there anything I can do?"
He still had to ask. Couldn't just let it drop with an 'oh, and now Bobby is leaving forever, sorry about your dad, bye!'

"What we are... it might just be too big for them. But that doesn't change the fact that you're still that kid that he watched grow up."

He'd storm into Portalocity's main office and start kicking things, if he had to. Not that it would change anything, but hey, the sentiment was there.

"Good. And you take care of yourself, okay?"
He knew that Bobby was more than capable of pulling through in a tough spot. But... it had to be said.
