I'm back in Sheffield. And it's cold.
The last week has been very fun indeed, but there's the little things you don't think about. On the first day, we arrived in the evening so everything appeared normal. The next day, after a lazy breakfast, we went out to the nearby village and I looked up into the sky. It was incredibly sunny, but I couldn't see the sun. It wasn't where it "should" be. So I looked up... and up... and up... and there it was. Just hanging a little off from the zenith. It shouldn't be that high... A quick mental calculation reveals that at mid-summer (which we're only a couple of weeks from), the sun will rise to 77° high - it's impressive what 20° of latitude will do for you. My shadow was reduced a little foot-high oompa-loompa, walking at my feet, very odd!
Also, the moon was a little skew-iff. It's the little things you don't expect.
Yesterday was a bit of a blur, a lazy breakfast followed by a quick run out to the airport, plane, train, tram, home, then off to
rich_jacko's briefly, back home, put goblin to bed, collapse, sleep. I have some photos on the camera which I will take off and post sometime later today.

lucasdigital, are you free tonight or tomorrow evening for character generation? Or will you be popping round saturday morning before the rest of the players get here?
