EXACTLY.

A lot of the Jack hate I've seen is people saying things like "he's lame" or "he doesn't have any real problems", and that just makes me mad, because of course he does. Clearly he has issues, and just because his dad didn't throw him out an eighth story window or shoot his mother and himself doesn't mean his problems aren't as poignant or real as the others'. Gahhhh, "The End". I don't understand anyone who doesn't like that episode, or Jack in that episode. A few of my friends who've watched Lost don't like the finale, and I just sit there like O_O what is the matter with you xD

I've seen so many people calling Kate a slut because she's the middle of the triangle, and that just pisses me off to no end. Just because she loved two people doesn't make her a slut. And obviously all the issues that came from the triangle weren't entirely caused by her. Also, Juliet was very involved in this triangle/square as well, and you don't see any hate for her.

Gahhh, all the characters are so great. I have a hard time choosing favorites, because I say "Jack, wait, no, let me think" and then I just end up listing all of them.

Ugh, yes. I don't know. I just love him so much, it's ridiculous. I might just have a huge thing for characters named Jack, actually xD

WHAAAAT. How is being raised by an emotionally abusive father NOT A REAL PROBLEM. That just makes me RAGE. Ugh. I have this huge, huge peeve with people who dismiss emotional abuse. It just reeks of privilege, for one. Secondly, hating Jack for being so fucked up as a result of the emotional abuse is just straight-up victim blaming. I don't care that he's a fictional person. It's shitty.

Haha, I have some friends who hated it too, which is fair enough. I don't understand how you could not love Jack in it though. By the end, he's fully learnt from all his mistakes. It's a genuine self-sacrifice. How are there haters?

PREACH. Slut-shaming is vile in any circumstance, so. That's that.

Haha, what other Jacks are there?

Ugh, I know. And he tries so hard, it's not fair to hate on him just because he can't manage to fix everything. He's far from perfect, sure, but (cliche time), nobody's perfect. And he never claims to be.

Yeah, I do get how they could dislike it, I'm just a bit biased because I love it so much. But really, Jack. He passes up the chance to sit in the hero's seat for a lifetime or more to sacrifice himself, he gives his job to Hurley, and he sends Desmond up and back to his family when it would probably have saved Jack's life to let Desmond bring the light back. If that's not full-circle character development and getting-things-right, I don't know what is.

Welll, Jack Harkness from Doctor Who/Torchwood. And, um. That might be it. I JUST REALLY LOVE THOSE TWO JACKS OKAY.

Word.

Hahaha, okay. I've only ever seen like, 2 episodes of Torchwood ever (it's on my epic list of shows to get into), so I don't have much of an opinion on Jack Harkness. I'm sure he's a bro!
