Thanks so much! I love doing the accents - the only ones I'm not sure about are Harry and Draco. I'm probably the only one who can tell the difference between them, unless Draco's drawling or Harry's saying "Er."

Academic future? Pffah. I wrote the exam I'm doing tomorrow, so I'm not worried about it. And yes, I have a busy schedule - even though I'm not doing scholarship-and-university things this semester I've got a fundraising project bigger than Greenland to sit on, so I'll add that to my pile :) And I love doing this, it helps to de-stress. Although I am anything but energetic: lethargically twitchy is how I'd put it.

Sorry, but I do like it, especially since it was so rainy and grey and slushy here for so long. I hope your travelling goes well, and far be it from me to deny you entry to bookstores. Go! Read! Spend your entire paycheck! (Story of my life.) Also, snow is not so great when you are learning how to drive, as I am, and it makes your driveway impossible to traverse. Oh, the perils of winter driving.

Are you bringing an empty suitcase? I have never known anyone to take a plane for a shopping trip, though it certainly sounds like fun.

I can totally tell the difference between your Draco and your Harry. Draco's got a more rapid-fire delivery, especially when he's in the middle of a rant, and Harry's pitch is a bit lower. You're very good at the "acting" part of reading - the bits where a character stumbles over a word, or is just waking up - those little verbal ticks that make it all real, rather than just words read off a page.

Lethargically twitchy, eh? I like that; I believe I will add that to my expression library, in the oxymoron section, right next to hysterically tedious.

I am, of course, sitting at home writing this comment, rather than lounging in a hot tub at my hotel (preparatory to mad shopping), because they closed the airport this afternoon due to insane blizzard activity. Adding in the -45 degree windchill, I'm not feeling too fond of winter at the moment. Not to worry though, I've switched my trip to the end of the week instead.

I don't normally take a plane just to go shopping either, but I had a flight voucher that I had to use before it expired, and can only afford to be away a couple of days, so Minneapolis and the Mall (and the bookstore!) seemed the best option.

The last time I travelled, I had to buy an extra suitcase because I got slightly out of hand with the shopping. I have this shoe problem. Well, and a purse problem. And then there's the book thing. Ok, I just have a shopping problem, generally. But that was a five week overseas trip, so I really think needing an extra suitcase is absolutely reasonable.

I'm going to go and curl up now with a book and a warm cat or two (I wonder if I can get them to lay on my cold feet?) and enjoy being inside in the warm.

If you need more snow, we can package ours up and ship it off to you. In fact, it may be on its way already. Last time I looked, it was headed East.

Right on :) That's exactly the difference. I didn't want to give either of them a dramatically different voice in case someone hated it, and you CAN'T hate the voice of one of the main characters. However, I am beginning to talk like Draco IRL, which is kind of scary. I'm sure my friends are alarmed.

Hysterically tedious. I like that. It's right up there with apathetically intelligent and fervently ignoring. Oh, don't get me started. You've created a monster.

Oh, dear. Sorry about your trip. I wish I had a flight voucher. I had one but I used it up, and I only have enough air miles to get to Vancouver and back, and no one wants to go to Vancouver in January. No snow, you see ;)

Ah, that is the trouble. I, too, am cursed. I was in Europe for two months. I, ah... had an issue with the shoes. And the purses. Also, the chocolate, which not only takes up space, but weighs a ton. I snapped the handle clear off my dad's huge suitcase. The poor man at the desk asked me what the hell I had in there, and I said "Chocolate!" He didn't believe me, so I opened it up and 20 bars spilled to the floor. He looked in, and all was chocolate. Thankfully, he had the decency not to clap his hand to his forehead. Books are heavy, so beware the customs people at the airport. The poor, long-suffering customs officers (although, really: what ELSE would I bring back from Belgium?).

Warm cats are good for keeping warm, but they usually prefer to sit on your book to be as unhelpful as possible. Whenever mine is in the region of my feet he bites my toes if they move.

Yep, we're getting a massive snow/rain storm. I predict the buses will be cancelled tomorrow and we will all have our exams postponed. And then, since I've already studied, I can record!
