Late Truck, Broken Cargo Cover
The truck was late on Monday morning. So, Matt and myself were running around trying to get as much done as possible before we had to go. I spent a lot of time in the stockroom re-arranging things, because Bill had crammed a bunch of stuff every which where. Without Heather there, I'm the only one who reorganizes it back there. I used my phone to put on some music while I was lifting and hauling back there. It was very... fulfilling, I guess would be the word. I felt as accomplished and physically charged as the end of a day's work at Target. I don't get that relaxed post-adrenaline feeling enough anymore. I miss it.
Box lady asked me to drop some off to her on my way by, since she was in the middle of her dinner rush by the time we had a nicely sized collection for her. So I grabbed a bunch of the good ones, and I did. She gave me eggrolls as a thank-you again, which was very nice of her.
Unfortunately, I had a problem getting the cargo cover in my car back into place. It jammed up, and when I jiggled it to loosen it, the end broke and fell off. I immediately looked for a replacement on ebay when I got home (it might seem like a non-essential item, but in my neighborhood, the stuff in your car should NOT be visible. It encourages theft). Luckily, there were two available, one even of the right color to match the rest of my interior. Less than $50 shipped. So, I ordered it.
Right after that, I went to go see my movie (Star Trek). It was good. There will be a detailed review in another post sometime after this one. Suffice to say, me like.
Lorie came down to visit (and is still here) so I won't be updating this (and Twitter) as much as normal since I want to be a good and attentive host. You guys will just have to find a way to deal without me.
