Glowstick Visit

Mar 12, 2008 01:32

What started as an offhand comment inviting glowdragon to come on down to Florida to pay me a visit during his vacation time from work turned out better than we'd both hoped. Had wicked fun playing tour guide, and it was nice to take someone around who was actually interested in seeing the sights (glares at pyrophinI find myself at a loss for recalling all of the ( Read more... )

We drive from here to Florida and back a lot. We see a LOT of Waffle Houses. But there are NONE north of the Illinois border that I have ever seen. In fact, we've declared it a sign of the apocalypse.

Clearwater beach is lovely, albeit a bit touristy for me. There are certainly better ones south of you.

They sell Jones Soda EVERYWHERE here, is that not the case around you?

Yay pirates!

Either that, or there's just a massive sucky area starting there. ;)

Probably. But I've not been to any of them yet, and the gas budget doesn't really allow for such exploring, at least not right now.

The four bottles, or the cases of 12 cans? The cans are what I'm looking for. We have a few varieties at work, but nowhere near what we used to when the they first came out.

Shouldn't that be "AAAAAARRRRRRRRR! Pirates!"?

Walmart sells Jones in cans now, at least up here. It's not a standard 12 pack though - maybe a 8 pack? I can't recall for sure.

Might be worth a shot.

Not in any of the ones I've been in here, thus far.

And yes, it was a superevildathwallyworld. It is an 8-pack, I discovered those before I left NY.

I don't really think that's it, as Chicago is north of said line. But hey, whatevs.

Understandable, to say the least. But when you get a chance, I'm sure you'll see that I'm right.

Both, really. The cans are slightly less seen, but not by much. I guess the number of varieties would matter, but I don't really know that. I don't buy the stuff at all.

It should be, but I didn't feel I had the attitude at the time to do it justice, so that's what came out. Oh well..

If Chicago doesn't have a Waffle House, it sucks to some degree.

I wouldn't doubt it. I'm sure there's hundreds of miles of kickass beach just waiting.

I primarily drink the Strawberry Lime. It's downright addictive.

I can't bring myself to agree with that, no matter how right the logic seems. There's just so much great food there, I'm not sure it hurts it.

Indeed.

I see that around here, though I've never tried it. I'm just too cheap for such things.

I'll take your word for it.

Careful, if you ever do try the stuff, you'll keep coming back. It's that good.

You should ;)

Haha, I'll keep that in mind. It does indeed sound good.
