 Death Note/Harry Potter Recommendations

In the last few months I have gotten into the Anime ‘Death Note’. I like to read crossovers and have found some great Harry Potter/Death Note Crossovers I’d like to recommend.

• Little Orphan Harry by ENTER THE STARGATE
Rating: Teen
Summary: Whammy finds an orphan on a dark stormy night. But that orphan is rather odd. For example, he can shape shift. Sort it. And there are these people who want him to save them. Poor Whammy. All he did was find an orphan.

My thoughts: this is great story- well written and enjoyable. However, a reader needs to go into this with a bit of imagination because quite a few things change and are adapted to this author’s plot. A story worth while reading though.

• L Lawliet and the Prisoner of Azkaban by Pryotra
Rating: Teen
Summary: Fudge really should have been more careful when he asked the prime Minister of England to air news about Sirius Black. After all, you never know whose attention you’re going to attract.

My thoughts: a fantastic story- very interesting and good long chapters. L keeps all his unique traits and such in the story. One of the best stories I’ve read with this theme.

• Hell and Back by esama
Rating: Teen
Summary: Voldemort breaks him, the Dursley’s abandon him, Watari picks him up, Dumbledore calls him back, and L makes it all worth it.

My thoughts: Has to be one of the best stories I’ve read. Incredibly well written and thought out. Though this story hasn’t been updated in a year I would read it anyway because it’s fantastic. The author is still writing other stories so hopefully they will come back to it.

• Martyrdom and Paradox by UchidaKarasu
Rating: Mature
Summary: L is deep in the Kira case when suddenly a man with a fake name and a sharp intellect turns up in Japan. As L discovers what attraction is, Harry Potter fights to help L solve the case while falling in love with the detective.

My thoughts: Perfection- a wonderful slash story. Very well thought out and conveyed. No character bashing either (at least I didn’t notice it)- which is always nice.

• Two Saviours and a Maniac by PhoenixPhlame
Rating: Teen
Summary: 4 years as Head of the Auror Department, and overworked. Unfortunately for Harry, when Kira shows up in Japan, he finds himself unanimously chosen to infiltrate the NPA! Bring on the detective L, who starts digging to discover Harry’s secrets!

My thoughts: a great gen story of friendship- the banter with L and Harry is brilliant! Worth while reading!

All these can be found on Fanfiction.Net in the Crossover section.
