searching for a hero to idolize;

hahaha this is awkward but! I am thinking about doing a small musebox event-thing after my finals. It will be an extremely stereotypical Victorian Mystery Horror and it will last about three days. I'm just wondering if anybody else would be interested in playing? lmao just remember in the end I might just want to play Victorian England and toss all these plans away, but hey.

Yeah. That's... that's the only reason I want to musebox this hnnngh.

Plan A

Premise: God save the Queen! Victorian era England, where the rich grows richer and the poor grows poorer. For Queen and country! Beneath the beautiful ballgowns and top hats and white gloves, the poor has been shifting, and the newspaper has been rattling on end about a murderer who roams the streets, the seediest of seediest, murdering seemingly indiscriminately. But never mind, there's a gentleman's ball that has been the talk of London for days. A closed mansion on a rainy night. Somebody excuses themselves to their personal room for the duration, and a maid's shriek pierces the dark and stormy night. A murder! But not just any murder. The signature of the murderer is found in the crime scene.

Gentleman, we have a killer amongst us.

May God save our souls.

Structure: There would just be DAY ONE, DAY TWO, DAY THREE post. A la Westport, in each post, there will be three rooms to explore (a la Clue), and INTERVIEWS. Under the INTERVIEWS thread, the accused will be ready and waiting to answer your questions. Each of them will have an incriminating piece of evidence found on them. Also under the INTERVIEWS thread, the Sergeant of the Scotland Yard will be ready and waiting to answer your questions about the previous murders, all that good stuff. You'll be free to explore the rooms, though! The Sergeant will collect the information you've found at the end of the day, and post the information at the beginning of each day.

There will be the INVESTIGATORS and the ACCUSED option for PC characters. I'll have to fill you in on the plot, though, if you're an ACCUSED. On the other hand, if you're an INVESTIGATOR, I'll be playing a counterpart ACCUSED. That means, optimally, I'll know your fandom, and can then just play an important friend as the ACCUSED. For example, if you choose to play America, then I will play England. If you play Russia, I will play Belarus. Your mileage may vary! It's a flexible system. Just a note, ACCUSED can also investigate.

I am basing this structure on a Phoenix Wright/Clue-Do setting, if you're wondering.

Also! There is more than one answer to the end of the murder. Multiple characters can investigate multiple threads. Think Agatha Christie. There is no such thing as one truth. Since I'll be taking plots from various books I've read, if you know the ending, you are free to investigate with your character in that direction, but please don't spoil the ending to anybody else!

For smaller plans, though, there is Plan B.

Much simpler! A murder has occurred in a locked room. There will be three rooms to investigate, but no interviews. Since I'll be threading with you and I know the answer, there will be no Sergeant. I think it might even only be one day. But much less formal!

And yep.
