Life's Lessons Learned

1. holding a 5 pound block of ice cream and eating it with no utensils makes you a legitimate target for ice cream attacks. Consider this your warning.

2. Dropping a 5 pound block of ice cream of a 24 story building is perhaps the only thing as sweet as eating it.

2. Don't be cheap, spring for the 3-ply. A quality roll of toilet paper makes an excellent streamer, especially when you're 24 floors up.

3. A properly constructed laundry ball (with a diameter approximating that of the laundry shoot itself), when dropped down a 24 story laundry shoot, will create a vacuum the like of which the world has never seen. This is one of those rare circumstances where a situation both sucks and rules at the same time.

Dream's Lessons Learned

I don't know how we got there, but there we were. On a deserted island with one canoe and no paddle. I suppose our ship had sank, or something of that nature, but the sandman was not so gracious and to accommodate my tale with a proper beginning. The island was filled with rollerbladers and associates and there were far too many of us to fit in the small canoe. Being the logical people that we are, Rachel (white teeth)and I decided that the proper course of action was to drift around in the canoe until we found help. We proceeded to drift aimlessly until old man river directed us down a canal between dense areas of mangroves. As we traveled down the canal, a factory became visible in the distance. For whatever random subconscious reason you would like to , Tons of Fun (a local skateboarder, for those of you who aren't in the know) was out working on the dock. He had two paddles and gave us one to aid us in our journey. Now equipped with a means of locomotion, we were able to return to the island and tell friends of our good fortune. Upon rejoining the group, we decided that with the aid of the paddle, I could make trips to Fort Myers and back until everyone was off the island (I guess I'm just a sucker for hard work, but it seemed logical at the time). Bryyyan accompanied me on the first journey, which was surprisingly quick and delivered us to the Calosahachee near downtown. We were traveling incredibly quickly upstream when, listening to Bryyyan's advice (something that should only be done in one's dreams), I veered to the right expecting a dock. What I received instead was traffic. That's right, we were suddenly on the bridge, still traveling at a rapid pace. As a car passed us on the left, Bryyyan screamed "PADDLE FAST", and so I did. Traveling quickly but uncontrollably, we launched off the wall on the side the bridge and slid down a grass embankment. When we came to a stop I looked back at Bryyyan who was laughing hysterically. Then back to consciousness.
