FINALLY SOMEONE HAS WRITTEN THE ELEVEN/RIVER STORY OF MY DREAMS. THANK YOU. OH MY GOD, THANK YOU.

There's so much gorgeous stuff here-- the descriptions of River's beautiful dress, the TARDIS having a mind of her own about when she'd like to see River, the Doctor's touch telepathy put to sexy good use, tracing Gallifreyan on her skin (I am the world's biggest sucker for that in stories, looove it, so much)-- but I think out of all of it the fantastic description of the binding itself was just my favorite.

This sentence in particular is so wonderfully rhythmic and the words undulate in that one little independent clause just like the rope would:

He begins to wrap the rope, and it curves and twists like bandages, like bracelets around her wrists, weaving in and out and round and under.

and the comparison of the circles of the rope to Gallifreyan, I mean, YOU ARE SOME KIND OF GENIUS.

I was so hoping you would write this and I am thrilled that you have done. Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing!

Yay! Really glad you saw it and read. It was as a result of your yuletide wishlist, but i struggled with it a little, so it got shelved for a while, then the inspiration came back and i'm glad i got to finish it.

I wanted to get that bit right, because i wanted the ritual and the act of binding to be something important to him since rope bondage has so many levels to it as well as just "tying up for sexy times".
