Absolutely, totally perfect.

I love the subtle way you pointed out that she KNOWS him - even when she thinks she doesn't. Because the TARDIS knows him...and the way he can bind her up and leave her breathless with just a few words.

So much to say about this gorgeous fic, but I'd wind up saying more than the wordage YOU wrote, lol! So I'll just say: More please!

It worked out so differently to what i set out to do, which was much darker, harder, angsty and DubConny (like we discussed and i got over-excited about, lol). But i couldn't quite get there and then it went naturally in this more tender direction. I kinda love this dynamic between them, as i think it's so healing for her.

There may well be more!

It is beautifully done...a wonderful dynamic that touches on the tight control and releas they both are capable of. Just gorgeous - with just that touch of menace that I love out of him.

I love this, it is gorgeous and perfect and omg you even got collaring into it in a way that suits them <3333 and it's refreshing to read a D/s fic that shows willing vulnerability and joy and healing instead of just fear and pain...

I know, i've seen those other 2 fics as well! It's such a fic-worthy topic though, they work so well together with that dynamic.

Thank you, and YAY! i'm glad you like it. I had to get collaring in, that's one of the first bits i wrote, and i could just picture it, him buying her a beautiful dress and an elaborate collar to go with it. It was going to be a bit harder, but i couldn't help but take it in a tender direction in the end.

The collaring was exquisite, a perfect mirror for his bowtie and everything that entails. My favorite bit, though, was this:

all her blood rising to the surface, her insides laid bare across her for him to read over and over with his hands.

Being read, being seen by his hands, as if his hands had eyes in them, as if her skin was text, this just makes me happy all over.

This was outstanding! Amazingly descriptive, moving, poetic, and so intimate. I felt like I was reading something I shouldn't be, it was so close to River's soul.

I must say, this is not what I was expecting from the warning. I thought it would be more...rough and hard, with River in control. But this was so much better than I imagined! This wasn't about sex (perse) it was about love and connection and trust. Like phoenix said - perfect!

Then there is a moment like glass, like still water. She thinks it’s called peace. Perfect image there.

The bird inside her suddenly takes flight as he enters her - and there’s nothing but sky all around her and all her body expanding outwards and upwards, until she’s laughing with joy. Loved that! So many parts of this made me blush and smile.

*EDIT*: Just read the conversation at the blog and had to say that you all have converted me to a sub-River fan. The argument was just too persuasive as was this fic!

It was supposed to be rougher and harder, i set out to do it that way but i couldn't. i wanted to show the more healing side of D/s relationships.

It was a good discussion that we had, there's been hints of River's sub side in several of the eps, though it's subtext, not text! And i really do think it's healing for both of them.

I have read this and... Just... I wish I could hug you. Seriously. When Owlsie and I were initially having that D/r conversation, THIS was what I was thinking about. Not just the sex. When you talk D/s, most people think of the sex, the obvious cultural impressions of what D/s means. But this captures the RELATIONSHIP, the way of COMMUNICATION, the method of translating feeling into action, opening yourself up so that you are the canvass for your lover's expression (even while they are yours). It's just... It's really early (5:30am) and I have not the words. You've taken them all. Well done, you!

I'm really glad it managed to capture it for you, because that's what i really wanted to get across, the trust and healing, the way River is able to be vulnerable with him the way she can't be with anyone else - the way he's able to exert control, but without any guilt. I am so glad it worked *dances*!
