Oh my goodness, I LOVE "Fear No More the Heat of the Sun." And I can't wait to read this, but I have to pack right now or I am going to miss a train. But so excited to read it when I get home.

OH, my gods...I remember this in its birthing. And I could see it would shine gloriously like its own gorgeous, breathtaking dazzle like a thousand stars. And here I was right. I walked with him, saw through his eyes - missed his Companions of the past and missed Amy and Rory, even as they were right there. Still there, yet already gone from him. And my own lone heart ached for him even as he was filled with joy. I know the feeling: you are sad, yet oddly happy and at least he can say why.

Thank you, my dearest. You have truly made my evening magnificent...

Am back. May be slightly incoherent because I haven't sleep much lately. But I have now read it and

Ahh ahh ahh ahh how do you words? Everything about this is gorgeous and perfect and bittersweet.

This is my favorite:
Her beauty is reflected in the lines of his face.

And this:
In fact, he could recount every word of the conversation backwards in exactly the right reverse order.

This:
twisting branches which were hung with smooth leaves the size of small ponies

And this:
There are slight wrinkles at the corner of Amy’s eyes now, more pronounced, deepening as she smiles and laughs. There is the way Rory holds himself carefully, the way earlier on, he had placed the bags on the floor gingerly, as if his back twinged a little.

And the visiting the rooms. And the whole leafs-mist thing was just magical.

One thing--are you sure "Fear No More the Heat of the Sun" is from The Winter's Tale? I think it might be a different play. But that is a teeny quibble. :P

Sorry for the slight delay in replying to this. Thank you so much for such a lovely comment sweetie, it makes me so happy that you like this so much :D:D:D

I was trying to make the leaves and mists thing magical, so i'm glad that it worked. I knew how it looked inside my head, and was just trying to get it out into words.

*facepalm* it's from Cymbeline. It's because of the next line where it talks about winter, every single time i'm like "it's from The Winters Tale!" when in my memory i know full well it is from Cymbeline. Thanks for the heads up!

No worries! And haha, that is an understandable mix-up. I only caught it because I have read The Winter's Tale but not Cymbeline (I read the poem in an anthology), and I was like, I don't remember anyone making that speech in The Winter's Tale! I would probably have been much more enthused about The Winter's Tale if this poem were in it. :P
