The numbers:
5th  - 13.347 mi (offroad)   NEW RECORD: 25.6mph Flat
10th - 48.130 mi
total = 61.447mi :|

Goal :114/200    O_______o

5th: A place I call Rocky Road followed by a Flat speed-run.
Rocky road is completely ups and downs (mostly ups) with a lot of sand.  Only hardcore off-roaders try it.  A lot of parts are like trying to go uphill in the mud and there are a few notorious "surprise jumps" that will buck you if you don't handle yourself carefully.
     I went up to a long flat section of the levee near the university and did three speed runs to see what I could top out in a quarter mile; decent results I'd say.

10: Folsom Lake and back

As I was going up there, I noticed that most of the bikers all dressed up in their retarded spandex uniforms with their $2K bikes and whatnot only start at Nimbus FROM THEIR CARS.  What  bunch of posers, Nimbus to Sacramento is easy and short; and it really pisses me off when people take their cars to ride on their bikes (as if they couldn't bike to where they want to go initially or something).  Yeah they go fast, but any idiot can go fast for 10 miles, seriously not challenging at all.

Anyhow, it's the longest I've gone in one direction so far and a lot of it was uphill after Nimbus.  A lot of new scenery and really enjoyable.  The only down side was that I started hurting around mile 30 and just had to force myself back home the rest of the way.  Yeah those last 20 made me think it might be a better idea to use time instead of distance when I want to set a goal (seeing as how uphill is a lot slower on distance, but much much harder).  Meh, maybe next time.

So yeah, this is turning out to me more difficult than i originally thought.  The biking is easy enough, but having enough time in a block per day to do it is the main problem.  This week, I had a meeting, to day-long gigs, and a move; that only left two days to actually go and bike.  It's really kinda disappointing that I I'm about ~90 miles behind schedule;  it's early enough in the game that I can easily make it up though.  So I've decided to do what I really hate and wake up super early for the bike ride : \

Right around the beginning of week 2 I'm going to be adding some kinda yoga/stretch/flexibility/weights thing; it should help with a lot, not to mention all the added bonuses of a stronger core and whatnot.  So maybe wake up hella early, spend 30mins breaking my back, and then go for my rides.  I really not thrilled about that idea, but I actually do want to get almost back to peak.

As for results,  I've lost approx. 2.5% of my total body fat weight % (approx 4lbs) :P woot: in just a week.  At this rate I'll have about 10% totally by the end of the month.
