I was going to bother posting this, but I feel it's important, so even if there are only like 2 people that actually read my journal, at least it's here.
"How much longer are we going to give the enemy ground? How much longer are we going to play on the defensive, walled off in our own little estates while we watch the enemy trample over what God wants for His people? Is there no one that's willing to stand up to be the warrior that God intended him/her to be? Is the armor of God rusting in your corner? Is your sword collecting dust under the bed?
We're in a war, Christians, one that the world is involved in but cannot see. In truth, many Christians have become blinded to the battle. I've watched the older generations sit back and occassionally throw a stone as the enemy marched by. The Commander shouts, "Where is my army?" Who's going to heed the call?
We were promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against us. Why, then, do we cower? The few of the older warriors that did fight are being called home. Who, then, is left? When all the world seems to be turning its back on God and running headlong into an enemy they turn a blind eye to, is there no one left that dares take up the armory God has provided and fight back?
There is no neutrality in this war. You cannot stand behind the front lines and observe. If you are not taking an active role in His army, you are helping the enemy, whether you mean to or not. What good is a soldier if he doesn't charge? What war was ever won by armies that let the enemy conquer everything around them?
Step up, warriors! The Commander calls; who will respond? It is one thing to raise your sword and shout, it is another to charge. Simple words and a thrown stone here or there are not enough anymore. Despite the few who fought in the past, the need is increasingly great.
Stop playing the defense. The Commander calls - it's time to charge."
I'm just the messenger, so the message was as new to me as it is you, but the urgency of this call is growing inside. The enemy is gathering their forces now; believe me or not, just keep an eye out in the next coming years. The signs are already here, but God's calling us now. No more of this 'Sunday Christian' crap. I know I'm the least worthy to call others out (my inability to say a coherent sentance without cursing during a frustrating game night is testament to this), but there was no mistaking this message when God gave it to me last night.
