What the heck is wrong with me, you guys? For serious. I was listening to “I’m Still Here” earlier (my personal trans anthem) and I’d just got done catching up on the latest Flashpoint, and so of course I got thinking about all that FP transfic I wrote. And laughing at myself for it, because that’s what I do when I think of those fics. “What the heck is wrong with me? Flashpoint transfic? Who writes that, anyway?” I said to myself. “The only thing I can think of crazier than that is Dark Blue transfic.” A thought I’ve had before (“hmm, what fandoms am I in that I haven’t written transfic for yet?”). When I thought it first, it came off - happily for us all - just as ridiculous as it should have. So, with no cracky AUs presenting themselves, I moved on.
This time, though? A muse may have jumped on it. >_<
Now, I haven’t written anything down yet, so I could still spare you all the complete cracky insanity, but - like I said, what is WRONG with me? Who else comes up with ideas this freaking ridiculous? Seriously. I have clearly lost my mind.
Or possibly I’m hooked on the idea of a challenge.

And speaking of weird ideas, I should be posting one or two of them to whitecollarfic fairly soon (once I remember to bring my new external HD down to the computer lab with me). I’m open to your thoughts on whether I should crosspost this one.
In other news, been watching Human Target. It’s entertaining, but what was up with that second ep (“Rewind”, I believe it was called; with the plane)? Zera was blown away by how ridiculous it was - and it only made a little more sense in context. Freaking weird. (Why didn’t he just fly the plane above the air? Seriously, can anyone tell me that? And wouldn’t getting out of the plane have done something to the cabin pressure? The whole thing was almost as bizarre and headdesky as the ep of QL that took place on a plane, for crying out loud.) Still a fun show, though, for all that.
Have also been, as usual, loving everything else: Castle, Forgotten, Leverage, BH, SN, BN. And just recently caught up on Mentalist and, as mentioned, Flashpoint.
To be more specific about Mentalist: OH. MY. GOD. SHOW. Next Thursday now please?! My main thoughts:
1) “Red Bulls”: <3 Hicks at the end.
2) “Red Right Hand”: Man, I read the summary and did not see that shit coming. Holy. Cow.
3) “Throwing Fire”: I could not believe he went back. I guess he had to, so we could see what went down, but I still kind of wanted him to stand up to his dad and be like “screw you, I’mma go and do my own thing”. I hurt a little.
And, about WC (and SN and BN): YAY IT’S BACK. More specifically about WC: THAT SCENE. OMG YOU GUYS. I think the writers were reading the fic. You know, the one about Neal and his dislocated arm? Yeah. (“They want hurt!Neal? Let’s give them some.”) Hmog. I barely remember a thing in that episode that happened before “Peter, I trust you” because my brain went to its bunk just up and left the premises under the weight of all that AWESOME H/C. Still not enough H/C for my tastes, but my tastes run heavy on the stuff (can you say “non-con”? I may be writing one, *shame*), and at least this means there was canon that ought to inspire fic. Hopefully lots of awesome fic, am I right? :D
Holy crap, this is 800 words of LJ post. I wish I could write fic this long. I suppose that’s about it, anyway. If you have thoughts, or plot bunnies, or whatever… you know where to comment.
