Pray for the Dead
Watching Sam, arm outstretched and nose bleeding, fight off Samhain, Dean felt like they had already lost, like the world had ended for the Winchesters long before it would for everyone else.
They were just down the hall from each other, but it seemed as though they were on opposite sides of a war.
But Sam was still here, still Sam, still his brother. As long as that was true, Dean would fight for him and hope it would be enough.
And Sam still had enough faith for both of them, so Dean prayed his brother wasn’t beyond saving yet.
