Tab closing update.
OK, so I've literally been online all day today (up at 8:15 this morning, online by 9, it's now 7:30pm -- make that 8:30). Now that we've covered how much I Fail At Life, time for some tab closing, because I need to do something productive, and when things get this bad, that counts. Don't judge. *g*
Tab closing, aka random linkage:
ABC Moves Happy Town to June. Meh. It's not as good as Harper's Island (you can all but taste the cheese, sometimes!), but it's interesting enough. I'm okay with this. My favorite part of this article was this comment: "I know I'm in the micro-minority, but I have enjoyed the show-but then I liked Harper's Island. It's not that big of a deal.... I'm just glad they are going to allow the 5 of us who watch to see the conclusion." Lmao. Too true. I just hope it doesn't take me till the series finale to be able to tell Henley, Rachel, and Chloe apart. (Finally caught up on this one, btw. Kind of glad about Rachel -- that's one fewer of those three I have to worry about distinguishing from the others. Also, Tommy is such a freaking idiot I don't even. *eyeroll*)
Fox Renews Lie to Me and Human Target. You go, Fox! Way to step up and be awesome for once! Incidentally, I caught up on HT the other day, too; awesome season finale was awesome. Although I could not take Tim Omundson (aka Carlton Lassiter from Psych) seriously at all. Hee. The beard both helped (made him look different) and didn't (made him look lulzy). Idk. It was good, though. Yay backstory!
CBS cancellations, renewals. Can't say I'm shocked about Cold Case; I was amazed it survived last season. Ditto Numb3rs; the writing was on the wall for that one. Pleasantly surprised about Medium -- heard good things about the finale from Trystan; now that it's safe, I may have to jump back in. Liked the ones I caught recently, after all. :)
ABC cancels FlashForward, et al. I was, however, devastated to hear about this. I know, I know, the ratings, but FFS, ABC. MUST YOU CONTINUE TO CANCEL EVERYTHING I LOVE? (NO I HAVE NOT YET FORGIVEN YOU FOR NIGHT STALKER.) Jeeebus. And I never caught up after the first half -- I'm debating on waiting to hear whether they give us a cliffie at the end to decide whether to do it at all. Although, I feel a little ETA: Fixed some screwed-up HTML. Sorries!)
And I'm sure you've all seen this, but for the heck of it, the USA crossover commercials. <3 USA, as much as I want to keep hating you, too, I can't, I love you. :D
AND NOW ONTO SOMETHING ELSE I LOVED. SUPERNATURAL FINALE. (Late to the party? Me? Nevar! ;) Fwiw, I watched it on time, I just haven't found the motivation to post about it until now.) First, ftr, I totally came up with this on my very own, so there ( proof! -- also, lots of my other thoughts on the ep, so I can avoid retyping). For once. Lol. In related news, there look to be at least half a dozen SN vids to "Hear You Me", but let me just take this moment to assure that this one is the best. Mhmm. If you haven't seen it, do it. Oh, and also? I'm not getting the fandom's apparent need to believe that was Sam out there. Looked like Lucifer in there to me. And the streetlight didn't help. I'm not seeing how anyone could believe otherwise, but whatevs, I'll let y'all have your hope, and I'll be pleasantly(?) surprised if you turn out to be right.
In other news, have a cool article on Julia Serano and Ben Barres and a lolarious post from lower_tadfield. A+.
Speaking of grades: I ended up with an A (Tech Writing), three B's (Theory of Computation, Principles of Programming, and Numerical Methods), and a C (HCI) for this semester. Deserved an A in Theory, had been hoping for a B in HCI, but not failing Principles makes up for that. Basically. All in all, I'm okay with that. (Mostly. I emailed my Theory prof. We'll see.)
Oh, and lastly, I have been continuing to fail at WdM. Sigh. That's the only reason I'm writing this post -- because I opened my fic notebook, took one look at SP, and literally sighed out loud, slumped over, and had to use this to procrastinate. *sad panda* But as far as lgbtfest goes, at least I have my Seeker fill to look forward to on the 28th! :D
Pseudo-ETA: Oh, and my class has been going alright. Light-speed, though, geez! Unrelatedly, have some epic win: 65 Million Years With a Creationist.

1. Supernatural season 6 spoilers. Huh. I can has s6 nao plz? (And regardless if that's Sam or not, I'm not backing down -- that was, at the very least, not 100% Sam this time. Lucifer and all that blood can't have been good for him, you ask me.)
