Prompt post, part 2.

Mar 20, 2010 12:15

Have some more awesome prompts from the lgbtfest submission post. I was going to edit them into the original list, but I realized that there comes a point when you've got to admit no one's going to go back and see them, and they're just too awesome to be missed. So, here they are instead:

  • Human Target, Chance&Winston&Guerrero(or Winston, Chance/Guerrero), Chance has to romance a man as part of a job and is surprised when Winston is uncomfortable at how good he is at it. Guerrero is just surprised that Winston's surprised. "Dude, you didn't know?"
  • White Collar, Elizabeth Burke/Peter Burke, Elizabeth is the only person who knows that Peter is in love with Neal Caffrey. But that's quite fair because Peter is the only person who knows that his wife looks fantastic regardless of whether her body is physically male or female.
  • Harry Potter, Charlie Weasley, The Weasleys thought they had a daughter much earlier than they did. Charlotte disagreed.
  • Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton's), Alice Kingsley, Alice is closest to Hatter, yet the entire time Hatter has referred to Alice as a boy. Does this make Alice question her identity even more, or are they close because he sees Alice the way she really feels?
  • Criminal Minds, the reason Penelope Garcia doesn't talk about college and her post-CalTech years too much is because she wasn't Penelope Garcia, she was Peter Garcia. "I went underground for a while" is Penelope Garcia's code for hir search for self.
  • ETA: Harry Potter; Ginny Weasley/Harry Potter; Disappointed at having yet another son, the Weasleys cast a spell to turn their newborn son into a daughter. Ginny has never felt quite right in her skin but it’s only when she’s in her twenties that she starts to figure out why with her husband, Harry’s help. He helps her rectify that which was wrong and the two have to face the private and public consequences of Harry’s wife now being a husband.
  • NCIS, Gibbs, We've seen Gibbs treat homosexual people respect on the show, but he's not been *quite* as respectful of trans people. Why is one more uncomfortable for him to deal with than the other?
  • NCIS, Gibbs, We've seen Shannon, Stephanie and Diane. Gibbs' final ex-wife shows up - as a man.
  • NCIS, Tony, Tony is FtM. Tony has always hated being laid up in the hospital. It's because it always reminds him how alone he was when he was undergoing his transition surgery - and how alone he feels he would be if any of the team found out.
  • ETA 2: Supernatural, Dean/Jo, Dean is mtf. Dean really is in love with Jo, and wants to tell her, but isn't sure how to go about telling her that she wants to love her as a woman.
  • ETA 3: Sherlock Holmes, Holmes/Watson, Holmes is FTM, and Watson knows. How do the two of them balance keeping the truth from a society that wouldn't understand with chasing down criminals?
  • ETA 4: Supernatural, Jo, Jo left for college the girl her mother had raised; she came home as Joe.
  • Lie To Me, Gillian Foster, taking her statement of "I was that [basketball-obsessed] little boy" literally, what was her childhood like? What does it mean to her now?
I totally had the same thought re: the last one, when I was watching that ep. I really hope someone writes it. Do want.

Here's my prompt comment. You'll recognize a few. And not just the reposts. ;) Hoping that a) taylor_serenil writes the one I blatantly stole from her (sorry, but it was just too awesome! :)) and b) someone writes my Seeker prompt. I've wanted that for ages but haven't found an agreeable muse. Maybe someone else (*cough* mresundance ) will.

Meanwhile, somehow, with all the trans prompts I could possibly want (including mine for stories I've already started!) out there for the taking, the prompt I'm strongly considering trying to write is "Any fandom, any character, Five lies s/he wouldn't have told if s/he'd been straight." (Sigh. Oh, muses. Must you always be like this? 9_9) Except that I may not be able to come up with enough. So we'll see.
