It's been three weeks since I began coughing horribly. My cough is still with me, despite two rounds of antibiotics. I have to give up and go to the doctor again tomorrow. I am so sick of not being well. My life has been on hold for a month except for the most necessary tasks.
But, I did invite several people to the plaque ceremony on Valentine's Day., and most responded kindly that they would try to come. I hope I will not cough through it.
Arnold has been a comforting dog during my illness. He stayed in bed with me when I had my worst fever and chills. And he continues to be my companion as I rest frequently. And he doesn't make me talk. I suppose my profession, which involves talking animatedly and sometimes singing, has contributed to my slow recovery.
Convinced I had a deadly disease, I combed the internet for my symptoms. (Un?)Fortunately, they seemed to correspond most closely to flu and acute bronchitis. So I guess I won't be wasting away on a TB farm.
I have gotten used to the fact that the Starbucks gals know my name. However, I am rather embarrassed that the nurses at the doctor's office now know my name.
If anyone has any good suggestions for funny movies to help me get over myself, I would appreciate it.
