So for a while I'd been buying coffee at work most/pretty much all mornings. They have really really good hazelnut... I realized that it was a pretty shitty way to throw away my money, + all the waste of those take-out cups. So I've been grinding my beans at night and setting my programmable coffee maker and dutifully taking my aluminum travel mug with me.
But today I actually did the math. $1.60 x 30 days = $48. Subtract about $12 for the cost of coffee beans over that course of time and that's $36/month I'm not spending. $432 a year. Considering I have a reusable gold filter in my coffee maker, there's a ton less waste and no added costs.
:x If I had an actual kitchen I might even be tempted to make compost for my plants with all those lovely grinds, but I am so not putting a can of that in my room. XD
Next step: trying to pack lunch daily. x.x
