The moment I've been waiting for finally came today!
I've been doing a decent job of fending off whatever bug it is that's been going around my office. But today, I finally lost my voice! Somehow, it made it through my five hour shift this morning, barely, but disappeared this afternoon. It has yet to return, and quite frankly, I'm quite happy for it to stay gone for another day, possibly two.
Why, you may ask? Because a day or two without a voice means a day or two where I don't have to answer phones at work and can happily sit there with my headphones on doing data entry. Bring it laryngitis. Hit me with your best shot. I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU.
