So, this weekend was pretty fun/interesting.
FRIDAY:
Kinda a crappy start to the day... I woke up an hour early because I felt sick. :(
But after French Stephen and I got lunch and did a bunch of random errands and cleaning so people (Kim, Joe, Jeni, James, Philip) could come over to Stephens for a Bad Movie Night. The theme for this particular Bad Movie Night was bad fight movies. Sooo we watched "Mortal Kombat 2: Annihilation" and "DOA: Dead or Alive". But right after watching Mortal Kombat 2, we went to see "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li". ... Apparently bad fight movies really like to have colons in their titles.
But anyway, those were all pretty epicly bad.
SATURDAY:
aka: "where it gets interesting"
Day started out pretty normal... and then Stephen mentions "Hey, that America's Next Top Model thing is today! Too bad I'm too tall... and a guy..." because apparently this cycle you have to be AT or BELOW 5'7". Which is really werd. But anyway, we decide to just go to the casting call anyway.
But FIRST, we find this application form you have to fill out (that's like a zillion pages long.. or 15). It at first asks you a bunch of normal questions, like your name, age, occupation, all that. But after all that, they ask you questions like "Do you havea a temper? How often do you get angry? How do you deal with the anger?" and " Do you drink? How often do you drink? How do you act when you get drunk? Describe in detail." and "If you could have any political position, what would it be, and why?" ... which was kinda a weird question. A possible answer for that one was "King of Emporers."
But, I really quickly answered all of those (because it was like 4:30 and the casting call lasted from 1 to 5) and we drove to the Landing (an apartment complex) and walked up. This guy randomly came over and took my application and put it in a manilla envelope and wrote my name and phone number on it. Then he's like "Um, do you have a copy of your drivers license and the photos?" and I said "...No?" and apparently I needed three photos of myself: a picture of my face, a full body shot, and a full body shot in a bathing suit... which I did not have. So he told me to get those, and then go to the CW place and give it to them. ... Still haven't done that.
But ANYWAY, I thought that if you go to the open casting call, you wouldn't have to record a video. Buuttt I was wrong. They record the video FOR you if you go to the open casting call. So I was kinda freaking out because I knew they'd ask me why I wanted to be America's Next Top Model, which I didn't really have an answer for. I was just kinda joking around, there are like a million other people who want it more than I do.
So before I could back out, the guy who took my application was gesturing for me to go into this room. And in the room, there were like, three girls and a guy who was operating a camera. He gave me a microphone to put on my shirt, and told me to hold the envelope and say my name and phone number and hometown. Sooo I did that (but I totally said the wrong phone number... I said my home phone number instead of my cell phone number, which was the one written on the envelope ... *fails*) and then the guy told me to do my "walk" up to this taped spot on the carpet, and then walk back, and then walk back again to the tape, and answer some questions... which went something like:
Lady: How would you describe yourself?
Me: I'm creative, I love music, I have a good sense of humor... I think... (and something else, I forgot.)
Lady: Is there anything you wouldn't do for this competition?
Me: I'm not sure what I'd do about the nudity thing. I don't know if I'd be comfortable with that.
Lady: Why do you think you should be America's Next Top Model?
Me: Um... well I think it'd be a good experience.. (insert more BS)
Lady: What do you think is your best physical feature?
Me: My eyes. (I think.)
.... And that was it.
I think I'm gonna send them those pictures, because I did that much, so why not do the rest? I kinda hope they haven't already sent off the envelope and all that. But oh well.
And then LATER that day, the guys really wanted to see Twilight (which is really weird), because it was playing for free at school. The original plan was to see it at Midnight and be really obnoxious to all the hardcore Twilight fans. But because the girls fell asleep after watching DOA around midnight, we went to the 9:30 one instead.
The movie was just as bad as I thought it'd be... the actual cinematography wasn't that bad, pretty locations and all that. But Bella and Edward ruined the movie. The other characters that weren't supposed to matter much were a lot better.
And that line "This is the skin of a killer" was possibly the high light of the movie. He was so sparkly!! hahaha
And at the "lion and the lamb" line Joe yelled "SECOND BASE! ALRIGHT!!" .. which was awesome.
Also.. what the hell was up with Jasper? I asked Meghan and she replied "He's.... constipated... and... sexy..." ... more like angsty, upset, and confused. ALL THE TIME.
Aaaand after the movie, we (Me, Stephen, Joe, Jeni, Kim, Philip, Arthur, Arthur's brother Kris) went over to Joe's apartment and played Apples to Apples for a while, which turned out to be quite hilarious...
Arthur's green card was Masculine. The two red cards that he had trouble deciding which would win were "Rosie O'Donnell" and "Men". "Rosie O'Donnell" won.
Kris's green card said "Manly" and my card won, which said "Getting a hug."
And then Kim had a green card that said "Eccentric" and for some reason my card that said "Wheat" card won.
Aaand I had a green card that said "Easy" ... and I should've seen what was coming... but the card that won was the one Joe put down that said "In a coma".
And by the time we ran out of red cards, it was nearly 2am. So we left. XD
SUNDAY:
Went to the Pita Pit with Stephen and saw "Taken." It was pretty good... Liam Neeson pretty much has the best voice ever. He can sound so nice... but then go to extremely threatening. It's crazy.
But yeah, that's pretty much all that happened on Sunday.
But now it's Tuesday, and I have ANOTHER Physics test to study for, but instead I am writing this pointless LJ post. I guess I should go study...
