So here's what everyone's favorite brunette twin sisters are doing this St. Patty's Day.
Jess is going to actually be in Boston on Friday, for which I must say I'm a bit jealous. I was supposed to go up with her, since the friend she's visiting up there is a mutual friend. I love you, Sneha! The hilarious thing was that Jess did not realize what being in Boston on the most Irish day of the year entails exactly.
Jess: How bad could it be?
Mom: Um, Jess, St. Patrick's Day in Boston is like Mardi Gras in Boston.
Ben: If you're not Republican, you should be okay. But then again, the people in Boston did flip over a bunch of people's cars when the Red Soxs won the Series. [laughing] But don't worry.
Jess: [Looks worried]
Me: [Snickers in the corner throughout the whole conversation]
Apparently, Jess didn't realize the import of the holiday to the Bostonians. I'm rather disappointed in her though, since she's not even going to be drinking that night (Blasphemy!). Then again, her reason is understandable, since the morning after is when she's driving back to NJ.
Me, on the other hand, I'll be stuck in 'Jersey for St. Patty's Day, but hey, that's not so bad. It's especially not so bad since I'll be geeking out that day, too. That's right. Ben and his rping buddies invited me to play the tabletop rpg "All Flesh Must Be Eaten" with them. Yes, I'm going to be playing an rpg that involves zombies...and guns...big guns.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!
Have a Guinness for me. ;)
