Oh, god, yes. Manorial rights cease to be overriding pre-registration interests in September 2013. I move back to real property in a week or two and I suspect it'll be straight back to getting ready for the change! It's a fascinating job, but it freaks me out how soon it is, now.

I can't take credit for the original idea of this story, I have to admit. Someone came up with it on Facebook the night of the election, I saw it, and wrote this in a frenzied couple of hours on sight. It's such a perfect notion.

"You're... who?"

She reaches for his hand. Numbly, he goes to shake it, with the muscle memory overriding conscious thought, and she smiles at him, warmly. "Oh, and my name is Hermione Granger. It's a pleasure to meet you, Prime Minister."

It's only about the second or third time someone who isn't from the BBC has called him that, and the warm glow spreads to his toes even as he says, "What do you mean, magic?"Of course it had to be from Cameron's POV if you wanted to maintain the surprise.
