My friends made last week a week to remember. 4 nights of spending time with friends instead of... well... working on a paper like I should have been.
Paris's birthday celebration at Mr. B's last Tuesday was very fun. We ate food, drank good drinks and played pool. I hit some pretty good shots with Paris's help... I think I was on the losing team the times I played, but oh well, still had lots of fun.
Wed night was Steve's birthday at Dave and busters. I was happy to see Dave and Paris show up there later on! Anyway, we all got lots and lots of tickets... esp with Steve hitting the 500 ticket marker on a wheel game what seemed like 10 times! ok maybe not 10, but more than 5!! that was pretty crazy. I brought Sam with me so I finally got to spend some time with her again. Thanks for coming with me!! After that some of the group went to coney for food.
So after being out like all night there, steve and his friend dave were just itching to go to the casino... sam invited me to go to the parade the following morning, so i wasn't really wanting to go to the casino, come home and get a little cat nap before waking up for the parade.. but... i did it anyway, just for the birthday boy. So yea, come 330 or something around there we got to motor city casino. motor city is cool... when you sign up for their players card, you get a gift of a set of drinking glasses if it's your birthday (MGM does not however). so steve was happy with his birthday gift. by the time we got to my apt (and I told them they would have to stay at my place b/c i was not about to drive back to GP that early in the morning) it was like 5am. Yea I got my 2 hour cat nap and woke up at 7 to get ready for the parde. Sam picked me up at 7:30 and we were downtown and at our parade spot before 830. the parade didn't get to our end (practically at the end of the parade) til almost 11, so we had lots and lots of standing around in the COLD, but we had lots of fun. and it was Sam's first time at the parade - so def. worth it for her! It was my 2nd time... i'll def. go again sometime.
Thurs night after a nap (b/c i was sleep deprived) and a nice yummy dinner with my parents, lindsay summoned me over to her house. me, her, sam, nick, laura and steve all hung out for awhile, catching up. good times.
Friday night i worked.
Sat night, despite that i desparately needed to type of some of my paper, i said screw it and went to a chinese buffet for dinner with nick, steve, jeff and beth. good food, filled me fast. i ate like 2 plates compared to the guys 4 or 5. whatever, i have a smaller stomach! Afterwards steve and i wanted to go ice skating, but we couldn't! There was a stinkin LINE! A line to pay for ice use! WTF?! alright, so next time do NOT go on a weekend night. I'll have to go next week or if not, then for sure on Wed the 17th when I'll be done with finals. Anyway, so b/c there was no way we were gonna wait in line to skate, we decided to go straight to Paris's PARTY! Paris parties are always fun. we all played some beer pong and had a grand ol' time.
and now this week is stress stress stress. 10 page paper due friday... i'm almost on page 5 and i'm hella slow at writing papers to begin with.
get me through this...
