moving someway in the world
I know I've been thinking too much about where in Japan I want to teach when I'm watching a car commercial and I find myself thinking, "That place has mountains. I wonder what it would be like to live there." Or when I have dreams in which I read long guidebook entries on areas of Japan that don't actually exist.
I've been pouring over my (real) guidebooks for several weeks, trying to figure out where I want to live. My top two choices now are Ishikawa (on the Sea of Japan) or Nagano (the valleys among the Japan Alps). The question now is, orchards or the beach?
