somewhere between buying a paper mache orange and swing dancing...

Is it wrong that more people at my small country high school know how to dance to 'Cotton Eye Joe' instead of the electric slide??

This is just one of the things that crossed my mind when Steve and I randomly went to the semi formal last night. This was my first high school dance...heh. I still can't believe I went. A lot of people were shocked to see me there. But it was fun. We danced with Gabrielle and Jake and Andrea and Haley and I got to witness more than just school spirit-y things. I tried to teach Steve to swing dance and it went rather well. I'd say it was a good night. & I'm proud that I was the only girl wearing pants. OH YEAH! (again...it wasn't planned...I had no dress...so I wore black dress pants and a cute pink ruffly dress shirt)

The rest of the day yesterday was nice as well. Steve and I went to downtown portsmouth and I got a paper mache orange and a Hanson CD for $2.97. Life is good. PLUS, we got lots of exercise walking around.

So for once, I wasn't anti-Vday.

And you know what?

It felt good.
