Show is closed. Yay, I suppose. I dunno, the whole thing was rather anti-climatic. 6 performances, 150-ish cues/performance. Awesome board ops and costume crew. One awesome props person and the other guy who was always late, and my ASM who showed up to every show wearing heeled sandals. Even to strike. I'll give her credit, she risked her pedicure and actually got out there and worked. Strike was three hours - one full hour of which was pulling staples from the set and listening to the actresses bitch about it. God, actors, especially girl actors, can be so damn whiny sometimes.
Got an e-mail from the director on Sunday saying that the cast dinner had been moved to Tuesday night. The cast dinner that I hadn't even heard of yet and that I don't know the location of. I'm not sure if I'm invited or not. hm.
Taking my car to Toyota in the morning, going to the dentist on Wednesday, going to Arkansas on Thursday. Mom just had back surgery, so I'll probably be spending most of the time at home helping her do laundry and maintain the ridiculous level of cleanliness she likes the house to be at. My original plan was to stay for two weeks. Depending on how well she's doing, I may stay longer. I hope not. I'd really like to have a good two weeks up here to rest, play video games, and read before school starts back up again. I got my desk copy of Living History (the theatre history text we used in Bob's class) during the run of the show...can't wait to re-read it and start thinking of lecture ideas.
Talked to the department secretary today, and our GTA evaluations from Henry will be in the mail at the end of this week. *gulp*
Sometime soon, I'll write an epic post about the clusterfuck that is this university's University Theatre office, but the oven is preheated and now I shall cook a pizza for dinner. OM NOM NOM.
