I love these crazy ass animated fools. The video for that "you've got to press it on dare" is on right now. My mom liked this video when i showed it to her. Oh man. I love it when they show the ape on the toilet with a newspaper and the music sounds all farty like and then they shows the pipes as the music changes again. Its just fuckin brilliant. The live action head in the factory, and then the surprize ending. Oh its just too great.
Now the video for Gnarles Barkley's cover of the Violent Femmes "Gone Daddy Gone" ... as a femmes fan, i see this effort as weak. Maybe thats because i also really like Gnarles Barkley. I think they are capable of more. It's not quite as bad a cover as 311 doing the cure or whatever else i recently mentioned as being poor covers.
I am a fan of the clever cover however. I still stick to my guns that the best cover song is Ray Charles's "Lonely People", a cover of the Beatle's Elenoor Rigby. because it exceeds the original
Second Best is the classic Jimi Hendrix cover of Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower.
it doesn't exceed the original, but it's equally as good as, and that says a lot for both musicians.
I recently got a Billy Joel double disc CD and was disapointed to find that both CDs were disk 1. I bought it used, so there was nothing they could do but buy it back from me for cheap. That's a classic Shit on Scotty moment. heh.
Scotty's schitzophrenic, Scotty saw Steve show Shelly Steve's shoe. She said she'd see Seattle some Saturday Steve screams she's sleeze. Steve sighs sinking slowly shaming soon. Though Terry thought Tina turned to Thor three times twentyfour, Tina took tylonol to track the thoughts thinking through. Two times two twisting turning to truth. Time tells Trevers teeth to the Turkish toilet theif. Thankfully theres trees to try to tease them to their TV's turn tricks tease.
Yeah, sometimes i go into a trance and just write friggin weird shit. There ya go.
