An update to a post that nobody cared about, but I was discussing with Andy how I love Mike Wallace and I think he's going to turn out to be as good a player as Santonio Holmes, but I like him much better as a person. He said that's just because we know about Santonio's transgressions, but Mike's new so we don't really know anything about him off the field yet. And I said, at least from the few interviews I've seen, he seems like a good kid. (And this cracks me up.)
Well, according to Ginny's husband, at least, I'm right.
Incidentally, my husband met Mike Wallace yesterday when he was fortunate enough to visit the Steelers with a few journalists visiting from Mexico City. He tells me that Mike Wallace was “amazing” with him and the journalists. Ridiculously nice, cracking jokes, shouting “AMIGOS!” when he learned they were from Mexico, and then making sure his faux-hawk was nice and pointy before gladly getting his picture taken with them.
