Alan Ball spoils his own show.

Dude, I just watched the last episode of season four of Six Feet Under (I know, I know, it takes me forever to get around to TV shows), and then I thought I'd watch the commentary with Alan Ball, the creator of the series and director of this episode.

Anyway. In this episode, there's this mysterious dream-like figure. Five minutes into the commentary, she appears, and Alan says, "Those of you who have seen season five, you know who she is. She's _____." (Hey, I won't spoil it for you.) Whaaaaat? Why would he say that?

I don't even care so much about spoilers; since I always watch everything late, and since I talk to TV fans and spend a lot of time on the internet, I often know the basics of what happens long before I watch a show. Heck, I've already read all those details (again, I won't spoil it) from the last episode of this show, back when it happened and someone posted them somewhere. But that's all my own fault. I was just a little shocked with the way Mr. Ball just said it like that.

Let me get back to my frozen grapes.
