I forgot I meant to post this addition to my long list of tiny coincidences. Last night before bed I was reading The History of Love and read this bit: My mother gave me an anorak tested by Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa who climbed Mt. Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary...

Now, that was maybe a little bit coincidental, considering Sir Edmund Hillary had died earlier in the day. But it was even weirder considering just before I got in bed, I had looked at Gawker and read this post, which said: Hillary, the first man to scale Mount Everest along with a sherpa guide whose name people forget, was 88.

It was almost enough to make me get out of bed, go back to that page, and post a comment.
