Just a few unrelated things.
*Andy's new college email address is ajv14@hisschool.edu. Obviously the AJV is for his initials and he claims the 14 is because he's the 14th person at the school with those initials, but we all know they were just trying to make it easier for his favorite sister to remember his email address.
*Just the other day, my dad reminded me that when they had wasps in the house years ago, the exterminator was named Wray. Like Ray, but the W is silent. How weird is that? We, of course, called him Wa-Ray.
*Did I already announce that Jens Lekman is coming to the Paradise on 10/29? I am SOOOOO EXCITED. I am considering going down for the New York show as well, because he just doesn't play enough US shows so I need to see him as much as possible. But I'll have to see how the scheduling works out. OMGOMGOMG, JENS!
*Sports Redux: Road Trips and Trip-Ups. They're right, the Pirates aren't so hot these days. (Oh, I miss the days of the Killer Bs.) But my brothers had tickets to a game when I was in town last weekend, and I wanted to go... Until it was rained out. Boo. That post is right, the park is amazing. And Pittsburghers are nice. It's funny how anyone who comes to Pittsburgh from other east-coast cities is always surprised by that. We may not like your team, but we can be civil! We have good manners! You should learn from us! (I would like to direct that to one person in particular, but he doesn't read my LJ.)(Wait, Jeff, I just realized you may think I'm talking about your brother after his recent post dissing the Steelers. I'm not. haha.)
*"Rich Girl" by Hall & Oates is totally one of my guilty pleasure songs. God, I love it.
