(no subject)
Have I posted about this before? I always think about how two of my favorite lines completely contradict each other, but I still kind of believe both of them:
From The Wizard of Oz: A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others.
But from Jenny Lewis: You are what you love, not what loves you back.
That song came up on iTunes just now and I mentioned this dilemma to Alex, my intern, and he said, "What about the Beatles? In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."
OF COURSE I know that song, but I had never thought of it in relation to the other two. My mind is blown.
