About two years ago, I was looking forward to seeing Prozac Nation. I had read the novel/memoir and was interested in seeing the movie adaptation, but it never came out, or if it did I completely missed it somehow. And now I can't find any date when it will be released on video, or if it even had a semi-wide release. And that got me thinking about ( Read more... )

You've seen the picture of Christina Ricci holding a Blythe, right? I just tried to find it online but couldn't....but I think it was from a US magazine article or something titled "Blythe and Christina Ricci: Separated at Birth..."

fairly recent I suppose...I think it was on the TIB forum or something but I couldn't find it.

Blythe re-issues aren't that old anyway, like 2001? So it's been since then. It was cute...

I was always a little skeptical of how that book would translate to film. The articles and reviews (done before it was put into theatres, it never actually made it into any) basically state that the movie was terrible and that nobody would like it because the character was so self centred and obnoxious. There is even an article where Elizabeth Wurtzel herself states that the film just wasn't good enough to be put into the public eye.
