To My Future Self

Remember today.
Whatever you do, remember.

You were depressed. You were hurt. You lost the guy you loved.
No, he didn't die.
No, he didn't stop loving you.

Distance happened.

It decided to step in and say "It'll be difficult to have a 'real' relationship."

Do you remember this pain? Do you remember the horribleness of it? Do you remember how everyone tried to make you feel better when you just wanted to grab your pillow and cry for your lover?

Remember the fun times. The lovely times. The good times.

Remember when you first saw him? Remember when you held him in arms, feeling your heart beat out of your chest? Remember the first time you kissed him? Remember how you always thought you'd live with him, maybe actually have a LIFE with him?

Remember, he is your friend. You ended in good terms. You still love him, but he is not yours anymore. Friends can love. Even if it's not the love you want.

All you could say to him is: "I hope you find the one you love. I hope she makes you happy. I hope she loves you as much as I loved you."

Remember, it hurts now, but when you read this...you know it's okay.
