and while my heartbreak and confusion and depression over college is still barely being kept at bay, our (former) class rep. points me to our course's schedule for the semester and we realize they have fired our Semantics and Pragmatics teacher.
it's shit like this that makes me glad to say "so long", you ridiculous university.
Good job at firing one of the best teachers you had. The whole staff is out-standing, but I can take this as either an offensive budget cut or something personal going between the high ups and our teacher.
He's better off not involved in their shit, I guess. I deeply hope this doesn't affect his career. He's brilliant and someone I want to keep in touch.
